My in-law's flight was canceled suddenly several weeks ago by Skybus. We should have known then that they were having problems. But we did love those cheap flights!

I guess you can't expect much when you get the ticket for $20. Oh well…

We almost got stuck, but we managed to book with Continental. We paid 500% more for the ticket, but we got there on time and without any problems.

Most new startup airlines seem to have problems. I say fly the established airlines like Continental, American, Lufthansa, etc. Stay the hell away from bargain airlines like Southwest.

Skybus had less than a handful of planes…
